Many years ago, when it was still a privately owned company, Iams accounted for about 50% of our food sales. When the Iams Co. decided to sell to Proctor & Gamble and distribute the food to every chain outlet available, we knew that because of the huge increase in production, the formula would necessarily change and the quality would suffer.

Therefore, we made the difficult decision to stop carrying Iams and Eukanuba products altogether and any other less than top quality pet foods, and focus on products that used only the best, freshest, human-grade, ingredients and companies that truly cared about the health and overall wellness of pets.

Although we suffered a large decline in food sales initially, we were committed to educating our customers to the benefits of feeding their pets nutritious formulas that didn’t contain fillers and unhealthy preservatives. As pet owners began to notice healthier skin and coats, more vitality and less overall health problems, we knew that our commitment to proper nutrition was justified and we still continue to carry only what we believe is best for our wonderful pets.
